Avoid harsh chemicals or detergents that could damage the material. However, if there is a buildup of dirt, use a soft-bristle brush (like a toothbrush) to clean hard-to-reach areas, especially where the strap contacts the skin.  

Be sure to rinse the strap well to remove any soap residue and dry it with a soft cloth or let it air dry before wearing it again.

On the other hand, leather straps require special care as they should not be excessively wet to prevent damage and premature wear. Leather can absorb water and weaken, leading to stains and stiffness. Avoid submerging leather straps and remove the watch before activities where it may get wet (such as swimming or showering).  

If you need to clean it, use a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and surface dirt. Be sure to dry it immediately with a dry cloth and let it air dry completely.
